Linda McGurk

Overview

Linda joined the firm in 2000 as our Chartered Legal Executive. She qualified as a Fellow with The Institute of Legal Executives in 1998 & is a very experienced member of the team specialising in Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection, Trusts, Probate & the administration of estates.

Areas of expertise

Wills

Linda is well versed in the necessary consideration when planning for how you wish to dispose of your estate on death. She can advise you on all aspects of Will drafting to include inheritance tax considerations.

Lasting Powers of Attorney

Linda has prepared many Lasting Powers of Attorney documents & fully appreciates the importance of completing them accurately & ensuring they are signed properly in order to successfully register them with the Office of the Public Guardian.

Probate

Linda thoroughly understands the processes involved in reporting the inheritance tax implications of an estate to H M Revenue & Customs, applying for & obtaining a grant of probate & using the grant to arrange to distribute an estate. She is able to advise & guide the executors smoothly throughout the administration period.
